How much work am I expected to do each week?
Each Beta Program varies, but we expect you to spend as much time as possible in your normal production environment with the software to expose defects and report them. Along the way, we also expect you to send in your comments about the software as a well as wishlist items. Additionally, you are asked to respond to our surveys about your opinion of the Beta software. There are special occasions where we may even ask you to interview with the industry press.

How long will it take before my enrollment information to be approved? We examine the enrollment information and look for a match between program requirements and the end user's work environment. Depending on the Beta Program you're applying for, this process may take up to several months.

If not selected for the current Beta Program, how long should I wait before reapplying? If not chosen for the current program, a good rule of thumb is to wait about six months before reapplying. This will ensure that our records remain updated with your current information. Do not be discouraged if you're not chosen immediately as we have multiple ongoing beta programs and we may need you at any time. We will keep your information in our records for a minimum of 12 months and you may be approached for other Beta-related work.

Do I get any free software at the conclusion of the Beta Program?
At Autodesk, we look for sites motivated by helping us design a competent, successful product. The reward comes from seeing your ideas become an integrated part of the end result. When awards are planned, they will vary depending on the particular Beta Program and your level of weekly participation.

What type of computer hardware/software will I typically need? Minimum hardware requirements for most of our Beta Programs are: Operating System: Windows95, 98, NT 4.0, or Win2000, Workstation CPU 586 or higher, a CD-ROM drive for updates of software, and an Internet email account is used as the primary method of communication.

Do you test non-English software? We certainly do! If you are interested in testing localized flavors of our software, we can accommodate you. We primarily test German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

How do I sign up? Specific information about you and your testing environment is required. This information is necessary to select sites that are best suited for each Beta Program. The enrollment form will take about 20 minutes to fill out. We will need specific information about your company and the hardware and type of software you are currently using. This information is not used for any purpose other than your evaluation for this or any future Beta Program here at Autodesk. Thanks again for taking the time to fill it out.
