Private MyFeedback Discussion forum instructions:

With the private MyFeedback discussion forums you can use a web browser (HTTP) for the forums or use a news reader (NNTP) like Outlook Express. We have documented the setup of both methods. The discussions are separate from the main MyFeedback portal (http://myfeedback.autodesk.com) but uses the same username and password.

Using your Internet web browser (HTTP)
1. From your Internet web browser go to http://myfeedback.autodesk.com/csforums/, then click the login link in the upper right.
2. Login with your MyFeedback username and password. If you have forgotten your username and password you can have it emailed to you by selecting the "Forgot your Password?" option on the main MyFeedback portal page http://myfeedback.autodesk.com.
3. After you are logged into the Forums you can select the Forums tab or edit your forum Profile

Check the News & FAQ home page for the latest forum news. There is also a Image gallery for you to post images of your work if you wish to.

Visual Guide of the web browser forum access process:

Step 1 From your Internet web browser go to http://myfeedback.autodesk.com/, then click the login link in the left side menu . If you have forgotten your username and password you can have it emailed to you by selecting the "Forgot your Password?". Both the portal and the discussion forums use the same login and store this in a cookie on your machine.

Step 2 After you are logged in you can select the discussion group link from the portal project Active Zone Menu or navigate direct to http://myfeedback.autodesk.com/csforums/ and bookmark it.

Step 3 After you are logged in you can select the Forums tab or edit your forum Profile.

If you only see two discussion groups it indicates you have not been added to any MyFeedback projects or you have not entered your username and password properly or your account has not been added to private beta or feedback projects.

Using Microsoft Outlook Express 6 which is installed and included with Internet Explorer 6 or already installed on your default OS in most cases. (NTTP)
1. From the Tools menu choose Accounts, then click the News tab, and make sure that betaprograms.autodesk.com is chosen. (If you aren't connected to it yet, then add it.)

2. In the “Display Name” please enter your name. Example: Shaan Hurley. This identifies your posts.
3. In the “Email Address” please enter your actual email. Example:” shaan.hurley@autodesk.com.
4. Click the Server tab, enter myfeedback.autodesk.com then click “This server requires me to log on” and fill out the account name and password fields with the your username and password. If you have forgotten your username and password you can have it emailed to you by selecting the "Forgot your Password?" option on the main MyFeedback portal page http://myfeedback.autodesk.com.
5. Click OK. And allow it download the discussion groups available for this login.
6. Subscribe to the discussion group specific for your account and you are set.

When in doubt or having problems, reset, shut down then re-launch, and re subscribe to groups in Outlook Express.

Step 1 From the Outlook Express Tools menu choose Accounts.

Step 2 Click the News tab, and make sure that betaprograms.autodesk.com is chosen. (If you aren't connected to it yet, then add it.)

Step 3 Add the new News server if it is not already present.

Step 4 In the “Display Name” please enter your name

Step 5 In the “Email Address” entry please enter your actual email.

Step 6 Enter myfeedback.autodesk.com then click “This server requires me to log on”

Step 7 Fill out the account name and password fields with your username and password. If you have forgotten your username and password you can have it emailed to you by selecting the "Forgot your Password?" option on the main MyFeedback portal page http://myfeedback.autodesk.com.

Step 8 Select “Finish”

Step 9 Select “Close”

Step 10 Select “Yes” and allow it download the discussion groups available for this login.

Step 11 Subscribe to the discussion groups that are available for your own account.

Step 11a If you only see two discussion groups it indicates you have not been added to any MyFeedback projects or you have not entered your username and password properly or your account has not been added to private beta or feedback projects.

In order to view images and HTML in the posts you will need to uncheck the Block Images option in Outlook Express location in the Options menu.
